She is beautiful. She is lovely. She is marvelous. She loves fiercely. She is strong. She is courageous. And Adventurous. She's a nurturer. World-changer. She has been through hell, but nothing will stop her. She's unrelenting in her pursuit to make things happen. Her soul is on fire. She is unafraid to be herself. She rises for others when they are too weak to stand.

All of this and more wrapped up in the heart and soul of a woman. It's a powerful mix of all the right potion that is enough change the world.

Nevertheless, she persisted.

Be you fully. You have my permission. God only made one you. You have the makings of something so special, so completely unique.

Just like your fingerprints are something uniquely your own, so are you. You embody a complete set of gifting that no one else will hold.

Our world has placed such a stigma on how we should look, act and be. This is why I started this project. By the end of the year, my goal is to interview and photograph seven different women. My goal of this project is to empower women, because we are essentially all bad ass with such unique giftings that the world needs to see. At the end of the project my plan is to get a group shot.

I have four goals for this project:

  1. Empower women to believe they are beautiful, despite their skin color, despite their upbringing, despite the world’s views, because we are all uniquely different and can bring so much to the table when we gather together.

  2. Unite women - my heart has always been to bring women back together. Let's face it, women can be weird. Plain weird. And difficult. And we make it hard for women on the outside feel welcome. As a girl myself who was an outcast in high school and at home, I know firsthand what it feels like to be the girl who felt like she was being disregarded by all. I don't want that for any girl or woman. It can also be her own insecurities that doesn't allow her to open up. Though I cannot be a savior to all, at least I can start by raising my voice and fighting on behalf of one woman at a time, slowly and beautifully creating a place where we can safely be ourselves, together.

  3. Encourage women to live life to its fullest. No, you can’t do that is not a word that is accepted here. I believe women have the power to do anything. YES, anything you put your mind to. We are trained to tell ourselves no. Our current circumstances, our pasts can be culprits of this. But, we also choose our own paths. And if we want to make something happen, we will. I'm proof of this, and so are many, many other women.

  4. Advocacy - Women have been misunderstood. We fight so many different stigmas in our world. Their bodies are under complete scrutiny. If you have a thigh gap, you are too skinny. If you don’t have one you’re fat. We are faced with so many issues, it’s loco. Rape. Abuse. People don’t know how to handle these things, so they turn a blind eye. Our younger generation of girls are too facing the things that we have faced. We must be a voice to them. And a voice for all. Together we can do little, together we can do so much.

This is a safe place where women gather together, and don’t compete. Loving each other fiercely. Empowering and encouraging one another. Taking back our bodies and the rights of who God birthed us to be.

For in him we live and move and have our being. Acts 17:28

This is a safe place where women gather together, and don’t compete. Loving each other fiercely. Empowering and encouraging one another. Taking back our bodies and the rights of who God birthed us to be. We are taking back the sisterhood that has been taken away. And advocating for our little sisters, who need the older generation to rise up and be their voice too.

~WHO ARE WE?   ~~

we are a community of business women, advocates, leaders of our community, writers, photographers, designers, artists, dancers, politicians, doctors, lawyers, inventors, mill workers, bad-arse women in the military, fashionistas, girls, teens, mothers, minister’s, prayer warriors. We are strong. Courageous. And we are advocates for our young sisters who don’t yet have a voice. We are powerful. And we are even more powerful, together.

Some of us have been to hell and back. But we’re determined as heck to finish the race that we started.

…we are the lonely girl sitting on the bus. The woman barely making ends meet. The woman willing to do without to feed her own. We are the woman who was bound and broken wishing to be made whole again. The teen who was outcast because she was gay. We are the sister who has been raped and beaten, ready to give her life so that she can be freed from the pain. We are women who sit alone struggling with postpartum depression.

we are women of different color, cultures, beliefs, sexual and political preferences, strengths, gifts. And yet, we let these things separate us, rather than just agreeing to disagree, and fighting for causes that matter more. Like our little sisters who are being sexually exploited in ways I can’t fathom.

~CHANGE BEGINS NOW .  ~~~

TOGETHER WE CAN DO SO MUCH. Alone we can do so little.

Each of you~~Live your life beautifully. Live it creatively. Live it gracefully. speak freely. speak up for what you believe in. live just.ly. Advocate for the ones who don’t yet have a voice or who are scared to speak up for themselves. step out of our comfort zone. love your tribe. and love them hard because they are gems that will stand for you. do life with your tribe. and: just. be. you. embrace your dreams. encourage your sister in need. Advocate for her. You can bring healing to someone else’s life through your actions. And your words are power and can awaken someones soul. So, if you see something
beautiful in someone,
speak it.

When women stand and unite together, so much can happen. Together we can do so much, alone we can do so little.
